Measuring approximately 7&#34; tall by 5&#34; wide, the work depicts a stylized Indigenous face with carved feather detail and headband. The back is inscribed: “Delmar Joseph, Squamish, BC, Canada, Coast Salish Indian.” Delmar Joseph began carving in 1967 at the age of 11 under the guidance of his father, Larry Joseph.
