This expansive "Blue & White" estate lot features a refined selection of traditional English ironstone paired with mid-century modern Scandinavian glass and artisan studio pottery. This collection is ideal for a dealer, a collector of transferware, or an enthusiast of classic Nordic design. English Transferware & Tableware: The centerpiece of this lot is a substantial collection of vintage English blue-and-white ceramics. -Ridgway Ironstone "Meadowsweet" Pattern: Includes a variety of pieces such as dinner plates, side plates, and saucers. These pieces feature the iconic pastoral scenes with scalloped, hand-engraved rims characteristic of high-quality Staffordshire ironstone. -"Made in England" Teacups: the matching blue-and-white teacups are stamped simply "Made in England". This simplified marking was commonly used on high-quality English exports fromteh early-to-mid 20th century. While they lack the full manufacturer logo, their design, colour palette, and ironstone material perfectly complement the Ridgway service. Art Glass & Designer Glassware: The glassware selection highlights premium mid-century modern design from Finland and Norway. -Iittala (Finland) "Tapio" Wirkkala Glasses: A set of tall, slim blue glasses designed by the renowned Tapio Wirkkala. Known for his "organic" and nature-inspired designs, these pieces represent the pinnacle of Finnish art glass. -Plus Glashytte (Norway) Square Vase: A rare, small square blue glass vase signed "Plus Norway." Plus was an influential artist’s colony in Fredrikstad (1958–1978), and this piece is likely a design by the colony's artistic leader, Richard Duborgh, or the iconic Benny Motzfeldt. -Cobalt Blue Glassware: The lot includes various complementary tumblers and vessels in deep cobalt tones, adding depth to the display. Artisan Studio Pottery: -John Farmer (Quebec) Footed Mugs: A unique addition to the collection, these handcrafted footed pottery mugs are signed by the notable Quebecois potter John Farmer. His work is a staple of 1970s Canadian studio art pottery, often featuring distinctive earthy textures and modernist forms. One has a chipped base and is unsigned. -Mixed Designer Mugs: The set also includes fine bone china mugs featuring intricate blue-and-white floral wallpaper designs, one set stamped "Japan". Dark speckled set possibly vintage Otagiri Japan. Condition Report: The majority of the pieces appear to be in very good vintage condition. Pickup category timeslot {A}
