This appears to be a Navajo or Southwestern style kilim rug with a design similar to the traditional Ganado pattern. The radio is an 8-band portable receiver, known for its dual-conversion superheterodyne circuit on AM/Shortwave, which provides excellent sensitivity and selectivity. There is some light corrosion noted in the battery compartment, but the unit was tested with fresh batteries and works well. Also noted that the retractable antenna needs repair. It was built for King Carol I of Romania and inaugurated in 1883. Believed to be a print, but appears embellished with some glitter and silver paint on the rooftops.
