Stunning Czech 60's MCM signed Frantisek Vizner Amber and Clear Vase from the famous Skrdlovice Glasswork. Excellent condition. Extraordinary sensuous work of art. Measures 9 3/4" high x 3 3/4" wide. Weight - 2.9 kilo. Signed at bottom "designed by Fr. Vizner". Authenticity has been confirmed by Ida Vizner (daughter) and last pic shown is design drawing of vase. A major Czech glass artist. Frantisek Vizner (1936-2011) trained at the famous glassmaking schools in Novy Bor and Zelezny Brod before completing his studies at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague. His works are in prominent museum collections: Museum of Applied Art and Craft in Prague, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Musee des Arts decoratifs in Paris, The corning Museum of glass and many others.
