VINTAGE LAKE LANDSCAPE ORIGINAL PAINTING ON MASONITE

I don't know if this is oil or acrylic, but I want to say oil. The artist was an A. MacDonald and for the life of me I can't date the painting based on the framers stamp. It says "John O. Raes (or Rabs), Artistic Framing, Brockville Highway (now Cty Rd 29), Smiths Falls, Ontario. Here's what I found on the Internet regarding Hwy 29 from smiths Falls to Brockville, ON...."The section of the Brockville highway became Highway 29 in 1927, when the route was first designated. Initially, it was made up of two disconnected sections: one connecting Brockville to Smiths Falls, and the other connecting Carleton Place to Arnprior.
