Antique (1920s) Dark Solid Oak Dining Table

This antique solid oak dining table showcases exemplary 1920s craftsmanship, featuring a rich, honey-toned finish that highlights the wood's striking natural grain and subtle figuring.

The substantial rectangular tabletop is defined by clean, bevelled edges and a smooth, waxed surface. It measures 60 inches wide by 40 inches deep (152 cm x 102 cm) when closed, comfortably seating four to six persons. The table expands via self-storing leaves to an impressive 96 inches long (244 cm) in its fully extended configuration, seamlessly accommodating eight to ten diners.

The base is supported by four robust, turned oak legs, each adorned with intricate bulbous and spindle carvings. They rise to a stately height of 30 inches (76 cm). Stability is ensured by a substantial H-form stretcher system, featuring twisted turnings, which connects the legs. The apron beneath the tabletop is finished with matching carved mouldings, adding a final touch of ornamentation.

Sturdy, graceful, this table is a testament to solid construction and heirloom quality.
